With its celestial artistry, sophisticated movement, and modern design, the 2025 PrimaLuna collection reaffirms Longines’ authority in women’s horology. Elegance is personified by Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance, Jennifer Lawrence, whose natural poise embodies moments where technical mastery meets personal expression.
At the heart of the collection is the celestial blue mother-of-pearl model, a showpiece for collectors. Its 34mm case is encircled by 48 graduated sapphires totalling 1.06 carats, arranged to evoke the subtle gradations of a twilight sky.
The dial is adorned with 14 diamond indexes, while refined, delicately proportioned hands in rhodium, blue, gilt, or rose gold create a luminous interplay of light, colour, and horological artistry.
The case itself is subtly domed, allowing light to dance across its surfaces. Its bubble-shaped crown, engraved with crescent motifs, reinforces the lunar theme. Materials range from stainless steel to bi-material combinations, with diamond and sapphire-set options offering varied expressions of luxury.
Dial variations further extend the collection’s versatility: classic sunray silver with painted Roman numerals and white mother-of-pearl with diamond indexes provide timeless options, while the celestial blue model represents the pinnacle of aesthetic and technical achievement.
Beyond its beauty, the PrimaLuna is also a technical achievement. For the first time in its history, the automatic moonphase is paired with a practical date display, powered by Longines’ exclusive L899.5 calibre. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, this movement offers improved resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations, alongside a 72-hour power reserve.
Comfort and design harmony extend to the straps and bracelet. The redesigned stainless-steel bracelet features shorter, domed links that integrate seamlessly with the case, while alligator leather straps in blue, red, or burgundy provide a closer connection between wearer and timepiece.
