Rolex Sky-Dweller Ref. 326933: Malaysia Price And Review
Fly high with Rolex's dual-time zone ticker.
Since its inception in 2012, the Rolex Sky-Dweller has garnered a reputation as one of the world’s most complicated watches. However, despite its complexity, the various functions it offers makes the watch one of the most coveted timepieces among globetrotters who require a reliable and stylish tool to keep track of the time at a glance.
Backed by up to 14 patents (11 for some models), the Sky-Dweller is quite a unique piece of work as there are only a handful of dual-time zone/annual calendar watches around. Tweaked slightly from previous models, the indexes are now rectangular blocks instead of Roman or Arabic numerals. Its hands are longer and slimmer, offering a sleeker feel to the watch.

This of course makes the dial less cluttered and more aesthetically pleasing. The dial is definitely the Sky-Dweller’s most defining trait as it features an off-centred disc that displays the second time zone with a 24-hour format, indicated by a bright red pointer forgoing the need of a separate hour hand. The annual calendar month and date are indicated by means of 12 apertures around the dial and an aperture at three o’clock.
It is fitted with an 18K white gold fluted bezel that in reality is more than just a bezel. Better known as the 'Ring Command Bezel', it is an advanced horological component that allows the wearer to set multiple functions on the watch. One simply rotates the bezel in one of three positions to select the date, local time or second time zone and then adjust it with the crown.
Powered by the in-house Calibre 9001 (which powers all other Sky-Dwellers), this COSC-certified automatic movement holds an outstanding power reserve of 72 hours. It also features Paraflex shock absorbers, a large variable inertia balance wheel and a blue Parachrom hairspring for antimagnetic protection.
The watch is available in a steel and white gold model with blue dial (above), as well as a yellow Rolesor model. The simplified dial with new indexes and sleek detailing, along with its ingenious functional design makes it a really cool piece to have. We definitely prefer the Rolesor model, which suits its high-flying quality that makes for a boss-like appeal. Make no mistake—someone who rocks this piece exudes an aura of assertion, importance and regality.
