Rolex Releases New 2020 Watches
Submariners head the cast of long-awaited new models.

Rolex has finally unveiled its line-up of watches for 2020 and fans of the Submariner have a lot to cheer about with new additions to the hotly coveted sports collection. The iconic range of dive watches are endowed with several upgrades, including slightly larger 41mm cases (up from 40mm), new bracelets with Oysterlock folding safety clasp and Glidelock extension system, and new movements. The new Caliber 3230 with 70-hour power reserve, released earlier this year, power the new the Submariner, while the Calibre 3235 drives the Submariner Date.

Submariner Date 'Kermit'
There are several new models to choose from, and the ones that caught our attention are the classic no-date Submariner in steel with black dial and bezel, and the new Submariner Date ‘Kermit’ in steel with black dial and green bezel.
We also saw the Sky-Dweller make a return this year. The two-time zone annual calendar watch, which debuted in 2012, gets a sporty makeover in yellow gold with black dial, complemented by an Oysterflex bracelet.

On the dressier side of things, there are additions to the Oyster Perpetual and Datejust 31 families. The Oyster Perpetual line introduces two key offerings: the Oyster Perpetual 41 in 41mm steel with black or silver dial; and new Oyster Perpetual 36 models in steel with coloured dials.

Elsewhere, the Datejust 31 models get elevated in new white Rolesor (steel and white gold). If you are one for ostentation, check out the version with purple dial and diamonds set on the bezel and the ‘VI’ marker. Watch this space for more in-depth reviews in coming weeks!
