NEW: Girard-Perregaux Casquette 2.0 Titanium and Gold

The ultimate 70s throwback, revived for today’s watch enthusiasts

Girard-Perregaux has done it again, breathing new life into its legendary Casquette with a fresh nod to the original’s 1976 roots and the brand’s daring designs.

Back in the day, the Casquette was the ultimate wrist accessory, capturing imaginations with a futuristic LED display that looked straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster. As if predicting a love affair with time travel, it showed hours, minutes, and seconds on a digital red display—groundbreaking stuff when the world was buzzing about spaceships and the future of timekeeping.

Fast-forward to 2024, and Girard-Perregaux has launched an updated take on the Casquette that’s bound to make collectors swoon.

Housed in Grade 5 titanium with an 18K gold GP logo and pushers, this model is unmistakably true to the spirit of the original yet stands out as modern in every way. The titanium bracelet, complete with a rubber lining, is crafted for both style and comfort, and there’s a handy micro-adjustment feature on the buckle so it fits just right.

And, in true collector style, this Casquette 2.0 is limited to 820 pieces—meaning it’s as exclusive as it gets.

Under the hood, Girard-Perregaux has packed in some smart updates.

While the original Casquette kept things simple, this version offers day, date, and even a secret date feature alongside month, year, chronograph, and a second time zone. All powered by the Calibre GP03980, which adds a layer of high-tech functionality that was unthinkable back in the ‘70s.

For die-hard fans, this calibre can even be fitted to the original Casquette, making it one of the oldest, serviceable quartz timepieces today.
