Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition Set: Malaysia Price And Review
Omega leaves us both shaken and stirred.

The dynamic duo that make up this special set may not be equipped with a laser cutter, remote detonator or grappling hook like their cinematic counterparts, but they certainly are chock-full of ‘Easter eggs’ that any Bond fan will have fun spotting.
First, there is the trademark gun-barrel design that opens every Bond film. It is laser-engraved onto the spiral-brushed black ceramic dial with a black PVD coating. Omega enthusiasts will, of course, know that this detail was first seen in the Seamaster Diver 300M On Her Majesty’s Secret Service 50th anniversary piece that debuted earlier this year. Another carryover from that particular release is the number ‘50’ that is hidden within the Super-LumiNova of the 10 o’clock index.

Third, a small ‘007’ logo is discreetly placed on the minute track, at seven o’clock. Last but not least, the Bond family coat-of-arms can be found in two places: at 12 o’clock and on the caseback where it is metallised in gold and black on the sapphire crystal.
There will only be 257 units of the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition Set. Each one is packaged in a Globe-Trotter suitcase that, apart from the two watches, contains one stainless-steel bracelet, two striped NATO straps, a loupe and a strap-changing tool.

As for the timepieces themselves, they can only be told apart by the material of their cases; otherwise, they are identical in every way. The first one features a stainless-steel case and black rubber strap. On the side of the case is an 18K yellow gold plate engraved with its limited-edition number. Its bezel is black ceramic with a white enamel diving scale.
The second model, in 18K yellow gold, also sports a black rubber strap but with an 18K yellow gold buckle. On this watch, the case plate with the limited-edition number is in 18K white gold, while the black ceramic bezel features a diving scale in Omega’s proprietary Ceragold.

They are both powered by the automatic Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806/8807, which has a silicon balance spring and free spring-balance. The movement can resist magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss and is Master Chronometer-certified.
The Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition Set may mark a major milestone: the 25th anniversary of the moment Omega joined Bond’s gadget repertoire, in 1995’s GoldenEye. But those who relish instances of numerical serendipity will be quick to point out another happy concurrence. The fact it coincides with No Time To Die, the 25th Bond film to hit cinemas, giving this already worthy collectible an even greater significance.
