New: Watches & Wonders 2024 Tudor

Tudor 2024 Novelties

Gentleman’s daily friends

Over the decade, Tudor has been sending out a strong message. Their watches are reliable and with their very own strong identity. We have all come to rely on that message to make our choices, as they continuously unveiled the watches over the decade or so delivering what we love to wear every day, a tool watch, for want of a better word, and it also expresses Tudor’s family of timepieces.

This year at the Watches & Wonders, they have continued to do just that. Tudor has tweaked here and there to give us that perfect watch we want until they come up with something better next year to evoke our needs all over again.

Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT

 Black Bay 58 GMT
This, of course, is not the only GMT watch that Tudor has introduced over the years. There is the Black Bay GMT and the Black Bay Pro GMT, and they both offer their characters and purpose. The current Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT is more elegant, slimmer, and smaller. The size to many is just the perfect compromise for those who think anything more than 40m is on the large side, as we slowly fall out of love with big watches and in favour of the smaller diameter. The 39mm stainless steel with black and burgundy 24-hour bezel indicates the night and day via a centrally located GMT hand on a slightly domed black dial with brass appliques dot markers. That subtle tweak makes a world of difference to some.

Tudor Black Bay

Black Bay
There is no difference between Black Bay 2024 and its predecessor, on the surface at least. The differences between the two lay beneath the surface or at least not noticeable. The previous edition had a COSC-certified movement and a fixed clasp, but the new Tudor Black Bay 2024 has been given an upgrade it now comes with a Master Chronometer certification by METAS, which comes with much higher and more stringent tests, and it comes with an adjustable clasp. The SuperLuminova on the ‘Snowflake” hands are now upgraded to a Grade A variant. And it has a 5-year warranty.

Tudor Black Bay 58 18k Gold

Black Bay 58 18K
Is a surprise at this year’s fair, but in a good way. Tudor has decided to unleash their ultimate, the solid 18K gold Tudor Black Bay 58. It came as a shock, but at the same time, it wowed and raised eyebrows amongst journalists. This 18k watch has moved up the price point ceiling of Tudor by a considerable amount, making it the most expensive Tudor to date. Beyond your average Joe’s affordability and hyper-jumped into the big boy’s category. But for those who had followed the path of subtle Tudor, this is simply another must-have to add to their collection. The 39mm 18k gold case comes with an open caseback. It comes with a ‘golden green’ dial like no other. Even the SuperLuminova-coated hands are made of gold.  Overall, the watch is subtle and elegant, there’s not a modicum of vulgarity usually related to a golden hunk like this.
