NEW: Blancpain Villeret Golden Hour
A brand staple gets a warm glow-up with new dials, refined cases, and a touch of moonlit charm
Blancpain’s Villeret line has always been about quiet elegance, and the new Golden Hour series keeps that spirit alive while giving it a fresh, modern twist.
The collection introduces 16 new references—including a sleek automatic Date and a Complete Calendar with Moonphase — all crafted in 18-carat red gold or stainless steel, and offered with either a soft opaline or rich golden-brown dial.

At the heart of the 40mm Villeret Quantième Complet Phases de Lune is Blancpain’s in-house Calibre 6654.4, an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and a silicon hairspring for improved stability. It also features the brand’s patented under-lug correctors—a clever system that lets you adjust the calendar with just your fingertips, no tool required.
Flip the watch over and you will spot the new open worked rotor in red or yellow gold, beautifully finished to reveal the movement’s Côtes de Genève stripes and polished bevels.

The star of the show, though, is the moonphase display. Blancpain’s signature moon, sculpted in domed 18-carat gold with a satin finish, peers out from a ceramic disc through an enlarged aperture that adds real depth to the dial. It’s both romantic and technical—a nod to the brand’s 1980s moonphase revival that helped bring Swiss mechanical watchmaking back into the spotlight.

For those who prefer a cleaner look, the 40mm Villeret Ultraplate pares things back to just the essentials: hours, minutes, seconds and a date. Powered by the ultra-thin Calibre 1151, it delivers an impressive 100-hour power reserve. At just 8.7 mm thick, it slips neatly under a cuff yet still carries plenty of presence, thanks to its slender luminous hands and sharply defined 18-carat gold Roman numerals.
Both models feature Blancpain’s new quick-change strap system, making it easy to switch between leather straps in brown, honey, beige or blue-grey. Each has a soft, hand-stitched finish that develops a gentle patina over time—a detail perfectly in tune with the watches’ understated refinement.
