Cool, calm, and irresistible

Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Arctic Blue

With the launch of the BR-05 in 2019, Bell & Ross ventured into a territory that diverged from its military and aviation-themed timepieces, which have been integral to its identity and focus—domains on which they have built their reputation. This sophisticated range maintains some core elements, such as a square watch and other subtle traits linking it to the family of modern icons.

Profile of the BR 05 Skeleton Arctic Blue with steel bracelet

Over the years, the BR-05 has flourished and evolved, showcasing its sophistication. Its finger remains firmly on the pulse of horological trends, consistently staying one step ahead or reacting in real-time to the latest developments. The newest addition to this collection, the BR-05 Skeleton Arctic Blue, exemplifies these fresh aesthetics. The significance of this piece lies in its dial, which elevates dial artistry to a new level. While it may not be the pioneer of this aesthetic, it undoubtedly helps to affirm a future direction that could set a new trend.

This rendition is the fourth model within the BR-05 family featuring a Skeleton dial. The Skeleton dial, a hallmark of Bell & Ross’ craftsmanship, stands apart as a classic masterpiece among its regular offerings, distinct from the limited High Horlogerie pieces—something we all can aspire to own without spending a fortune. What sets this watch apart is the sapphire dial aesthetics, a work of art in its own right. At first glance, one might mistake it for a shattered piece of crystal, but upon closer inspection, you’ll realise it’s a deliberate design.

The icy clear blue evokes images of the Arctic North, sending shivers down your spine in a thrilling yet seductive manner. The cracks mimic the appearance of ice that has frozen over, reminiscent of icy lakes in the Arctic, revealing the skeletal components beneath the ‘cracked’ icy blue dial. In reality, it features a blue-tinted glass plate, with the 'cracks' being laser-engraved and white decals added to help create a hyper-realistic effect reminiscent of the frozen lake surfaces in the northern tundra.

Automatic Calibre BR.CAL.332.1

The alluring icy blue ‘cracked’ dial features grey rhodium-plated indices filled with SuperLuminova, and the hour and minute hands float gracefully above the icy surface. The matte-polish icy blue inner bezel frames the round face, perfectly enhancing the watch's cold, captivating aesthetic. The timepiece is powered by an automatic calibre BR.CAL.322-1, providing a power reserve of 54 hours.

The grey matte polished stainless steel square case, measuring 40mm, is complemented by a vertical matte polished bezel with a mirrored bevelled edge, perfectly completing this cold beauty with all the right tones. The watch comes with either a stainless steel bracelet or a white rubber strap, the choice is up to you. If you seek a stunning and versatile timepiece that can be worn anytime, anywhere, this exquisite piece should be at the top of your wish list. It is truly irresistible, with a limited edition of just 250 pieces available exclusively at boutique locations.
