If you were on a budget and STILL insist on quality, you can’t go too far wrong with the new Luminox Leatherback SEA Turtle Giant 0320 Series. Launched in 2017, the collection was meant to cast a wider net for Luminox fans, touting lower price tags but with all the features that has become signature to the brand’s creations.

We know it sounds too good to be true but check this out. The Leatherback SEA Turtle Giant 0320 Series is made of CARBONOX, a patented carbon compound that is extremely tough and lightweight, allowing them to withstand heavy water pressure.

Another trademark feature is the proprietary Luminox Light Technology, which fans have come to love and expect. For those who are unaware, this is trademark self-illumination technology that can last for up to 25 years. Also, the user doesn’t need to ‘charge up’ the watch like how one does with SuperLumiNova displays.

There is a catch, however. The Leatherback SEA Turtle Giant 0320 Series contains half the number of Tritium light tubes used in the illumination system compared to other Luminox models. Instead of featuring it on every single hour marker, the tubes mark the even hours, with additional lume courtesy of a SuperLumiNova display at the bezel’s 12 o’clock marker. We think this is a smart way to ‘save’ on the feature that doesn’t compromise on its functionality.

Whichever model you choose – olive dial, black dial with orange accents, or black dial with beige markers – the watches’ military-style aesthetic, another Luminox signature, is hard to miss. So if you are after something to go with your casual weekend wear or sporting activities that can withstand the elements, you know where to look.
