Girard-Perregaux Minute Repeater Tri-Axial Tourbillon: Malaysia Price And Review
It’s complicated.

Most watch aficionados would be content with having just one complication in their timepiece, since it already demonstrates the brand’s talent and know-how in mechanical watchmaking. But Girard-Perregaux doesn’t want you to just be content.

Enter the Minute Repeater Tri-Axial Tourbillon. This stunning timepiece comprises two of the most difficult complications to produce and assemble. In fact, it usually takes a watchmaker with over a decade’s experience to be able to manage these complex marvels.
With the minute repeater, the construction and architecture of the entire watch are taken into consideration. The calibre is made to fit tightly against the case so that the sound may travel across the plate stridently, then bounce off across the light titanium case and onto the sapphire crystal, allowing the wearer to hear its clear, high-pitched ring when struck by the hammers.

Undoubtedly, pairing the minute repeater with a tri-axial tourbillon makes it an extremely desirable piece. In an ordinary rendition, the tourbillon is impressive enough. But when it rotates in three different directions? Well you know that’s some showmanship right there. As it rotates on its triple axis, the tourbillon is incredibly mesmerising in its graceful dance and, coupled with the melodic chimes of the minute repeater, is a feast for both the eyes and ears.

Employing a regulator-style dial display, the open-worked watch uses crystal sub-dials for the hours and minutes. Both feature gold hands for that luxe appeal, although being able to see the spectacular movement in its entirety is already a pretty luxe treat.
