Over 40 years of partnership is indeed something extraordinary to be celebrated. Indeed, the close relationship between Hublot and The Hour Glass has given rise to another collaboration between the two esteemed brands. The dynamism of Hublot has never waned and over the last couple of decades, the world has seen it grow from strength to strength since its first bold move of putting a rubber strap onto its gold watch, which captures not only the imaginations of the horological world but also the sailing-mad European Royals when it made its first debut in 1980, thus kicking off their DNA, the ‘Art of Fusion’.

They couldn’t have found a better partner in The Hour Glass, who have helped them grow their brand right from their beginnings, sharing the same vision of being dynamic, adventurous and willing to take risks.

This year, they have collaborated once again with a collection created exclusively for The Hour Glass, the Classic Fusion 42mm Elements. With very little changed from its earliest form, the model's timeless modernity keeps it looking fresh and new. What makes the special edition for The Hour Glass outstanding is the rather fantastic dials made from semi-precious stones like Tiger’s Eye, Red Jasper, Malachite, Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli. Of all the semi-precious stones, these five have always been deemed as the most masculine representation of the family of jewels. They couldn’t be more apt for infusing their classic beauty with the timeless and yet modern aesthetics of the Hublot Classic Fusion.

Hublot Classic Fusion 42mm Elements Red Jasper

The Tiger’s Eye version, with its brown and black iridescent stripes that shine in the light, offers a sporty allure, while the Red Jasper exudes the warmth of the dark rich crimson hue with its unique incidental marks, reminding one of a cocktail party and a glass of Martini. The Malachite version, with its striped green layers of different shades, is just a perfect watch one could easily wear over the weekend. The limpid blue-green of the Turquoise model, with its unique swirls, transports one to an exotic beach, a sense of abundance and freedom. Finally, the intense blue of the Lapis Lazuli embedded with other minerals is almost out of this world as it makes one feel like one is looking into outer space.

Each of the dials is just captivating as the others and their markings have made them unique pieces in their own right, since no two dials are identical. They are placed in a 42mm titanium case with gold detailing, finished with the gold signature ‘H’ screws on the bezel. The bracket ring and the crown are complemented with gold as well, lending a touch of luxury fusing it with the classic semi-precious stones dial. Within it is the automatic Calibre HBU1100 with 42-hour power reserve, very different from its quartz predecessor. Living up to its reputation and combined with its heritage, the watch comes with an alligator strap with rubber lining, thus completing its guiding principle, The Art of Fusion. Each iteration is limited to 10 pieces. They are going to be hot items and very much a keepsake or dazzling piece for collectors.
